Frequently asked questions

What does Chapter Communications do?
Chapter is a communications agency for landmark venues and luxury events. We build and protect reputation across four sectors - hospitality, events, heritage and leisure - through earned media, social, brand studio work, partnerships and consultancy. We have also built our own software to do it better, from a live journalist database to real-time coverage monitoring.
Which sectors does Chapter specialise in?
Four, and we keep them niche by design: hospitality (hotels and restaurants), events (venues and occasions), heritage (houses and institutions) and leisure (destinations and wellness). Specialising deeply means we understand how each business works, what its customers want, and where they look for inspiration.
What makes Chapter different from other PR agencies?
Two things. We stay deliberately small, so the senior people who win your trust are the ones doing the work. And when the software we needed did not exist, we built our own - a journalist database, coverage monitoring, a social planner, a strategy engine and live client reporting. Most agencies rent their tools. We built ours.
What is AI visibility, and why does it matter for venues and brands?
More and more people now ask AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google's AI overviews for recommendations, rather than scrolling through search results. AI visibility is about making sure your brand is present, accurate and well represented in those answers. If an AI is asked for the best venue, hotel or supplier in your field, you want it to know you exist and to describe you correctly. We audit how your brand currently appears and work to improve it.
How is PR changing in the age of AI?
Trust is becoming the real currency. As AI-generated content floods every channel, genuine earned coverage in credible titles is worth more, not less, because it is the signal both people and machines rely on. We combine traditional media relationships with AI-visibility work, so your reputation holds up wherever your audience is looking.
What kinds of clients does Chapter work with?
Landmark venues and luxury brands: hotels, restaurants and iconic event spaces, heritage estates, cultural institutions and premium suppliers. Past and present clients include Grantley Hall, Chelsea Barracks, Royal Museums Greenwich, Searcys and Somerset House.
What results has Chapter delivered?
Recent work includes coverage reaching an audience of 946 million and 26% year-on-year events growth for Grantley Hall, six years of placemaking for Chelsea Barracks with 222 pieces of coverage and 250% Instagram growth, and a 1.93 billion audience for Glass House Retreat. You can see more on our work page.
How does Chapter work with clients, and what does it cost?
We work on monthly retainers and defined project briefs, scoped to what you are trying to achieve. Every engagement is led by senior consultants and supported by our tools. The right shape depends on your goals, so the best starting point is a conversation - and we will be honest if we are not the right fit.
Does Chapter handle social media as well as PR?
Yes. Our social work is strategy-led rather than schedule-led: planned, created and measured against a clear plan, so every post earns its place. It runs alongside the earned coverage, not separately from it.
Where is Chapter based?
We are a London agency, founded in 2010, working with clients across the UK and internationally.
How do I start working with Chapter?
Get in touch through our contact page. We are a small team, so your enquiry reaches a person, not a queue, and we will reply within one working day.
